From October 29 to November 1, 2026, the town of Palazzago becomes the setting for the Söca Fest, a well-established event aimed at preserving and celebrating the historical and gastronomic identity of the Bergamasque people. The Festival Area on Via Annunciata transforms into a meeting point where rural culture meets contemporary conviviality, in a setting that evokes the atmosphere of the Orobic autumn.

A journey through the flavors of autumn

The heart of the event lies in its culinary offerings, curated with the goal of showcasing local raw ingredients. The menu features cornerstones of local culinary tradition such as artisanal casoncelli and polenta taragna, the undisputed symbol of mountain sustenance. The menu is enriched with seasonal recipes, including pumpkin tortelli, pumpkin soup, and stewed donkey, as well as fave dei morti, a traditional ritual pastry for the beginning of November. The gastronomic experience is completed by offerings such as sheep arrosticini, testifying to a cuisine also open to trans-regional rural influences.

The event program

The festival opens on Thursday with the gastronomic focus Pumpkins at the ancestral table, an exploration of the culinary versatility of the featured vegetable. Friday is dedicated to entertainment with music and dance evenings that enliven the fairground. Saturday night is reserved for the Nòcc de söche, a recreational event that rewards the most creative costume, recalling the folkloric tradition of autumn holidays. Closing the cycle of celebrations, a car and motorcycle rally will take place on Sunday morning, a gathering dedicated to fans of vintage and modern motor vehicles that combines mechanical passion with the discovery of the local landscape.

The event takes place at the Festival Area on Via Annunciata, Palazzago. The food stands are open every evening starting at 7:00 PM.
