Cardoon and Bagna Cauda Festival in Andezeno

The agricultural tradition of Andezeno

The village of Andezeno, located in the immediate vicinity of Turin, renews its bond with the land through an event dedicated to local horticultural excellence. The Festival of the ivory-white straight cardoon and the piattellina onion, known as the blonde, represents a moment of cultural and gastronomic exploration aimed at enhancing the specificities of the Piedmontese territory. The event is an opportunity to rediscover traditional cultivation techniques and the quality of seasonal raw materials.

A program between gastronomy and culture

The activities begin on Saturday, October 10th at 7:30 PM, with the opening of stands dedicated to tasting. The heart of the event is set for Sunday, October 11th, a day on which a market exhibition dedicated to typical local products is set up. In addition to gastronomic offerings, including the renowned bagna cauda – available both for on-site consumption and for take-away – the visitor can observe a wide selection of ornamental and edible pumpkins, the protagonists of the autumn season.

Collateral activities and historical architecture

The cultural offer is enriched through a series of cross-cutting initiatives. The program includes street concerts and play areas made of wood, designed to integrate the public into a dynamic context. Particular attention is paid to education, with workshops dedicated to the production of tomino cheese and grissini, as well as watercolor painting sessions and thematic exhibitions. The event also offers the possibility to visit Villa Balbiano, a historical residence that houses part of the architectural heritage of the area, allowing for a complete enjoyment of the urban and rural context of Andezeno.

Logistical information

The event takes place during the second weekend of October, specifically on the days of October 10th and 11th, 2026. Tastings are accessible starting from Saturday evening, while the entire Sunday is dedicated to the market exhibition and laboratory activities. We recommend checking the official website for any updates regarding access methods and the detailed schedule of guided tours at Villa Balbiano.
