Celebrating rural tradition
From July 23rd to 29th, 2026, the village of Ceretti di Front renews its annual appointment with the San Dümine, the historic Potato Festival. The event serves as a moment of community gathering that highlights the agricultural roots of the Canavese territory, focusing on the rediscovery of a staple of the local economy through a program that blends sociality, culture, and religious devotion.
A historical and convivial setting
The event finds its ideal setting in the village of Ceretti, a hamlet of the Municipality of Front. The rural context, preserved in its authenticity, offers a charming backdrop for the expected visitors. The logistics are designed to ensure comfort and functionality: the Pro Loco Ceretti, with the patronage of the Municipality of Front, has set up an area capable of seating up to 1,500 people, ensuring the availability of catering services even in case of adverse weather conditions.
Artistic program and entertainment
The beating heart of the San Dümine is represented by the wide gastronomic offer, active daily starting at 7:30 PM. Alongside the culinary offerings, the main stage hosts a significant musical review, ranging from tribute acts to contemporary pop. The lineup features performances by groups such as the Shary Band, Millennium 90s, MegaMax Tribute 883, Gianmarco Bagutti, the Explosion Band, the Divina Band, and the Pietro Galassi orchestra.
In addition to evening entertainment, the program is enriched by collateral initiatives involving the local community and visitors. Planned activities include a footrace, the traditional election of Miss Potato, and the pot-breaking game, folklore elements that emphasize the festive identity of the event. To complete the schedule, there will be religious celebrations dedicated to Saint Dominic, to whom the festival owes its original name.
Logistical information
The event takes place in an area equipped with covered food stalls. Access to the festival is free on numerous evenings, making the San Dümine an accessible proposal for a wide audience. It is recommended to check the official channels of the Pro Loco Ceretti for the updated daily calendar and any changes to the entertainment program.
