The Sassello Amaretto Festival: tradition and solidarity

The celebration of taste in the heart of Sassello

On September 5th and 6th, 2026, the village of Sassello renews its gastronomic tradition by hosting the Amaretto Festival. The event winds through the streets of the historic center, a setting of architectural value that preserves its medieval layout and evidence of its Ligurian past. The event represents a synthesis between the promotion of local excellence and support for social projects.

A program combining culture and dynamism

The schedule of events opens on Saturday with the setup of the craft fair and zero-kilometer products, offering visitors an exhaustive overview of the region's material culture. The evening will be enlivened by a DJ set by DJ Mimmo, creating a moment of conviviality in the evening scenery of the village. On Sunday, activities move to the Perrando Museum, an institution that safeguards local historical memory, which will open its doors at 10:30 AM to welcome the public.

The highlight of Sunday is the guided tasting of the Amaretto, scheduled for 2:00 PM. In parallel, historical narrative finds space in the exhibition dedicated to the evolution of the traditional recipe. As a counterpoint to the confectionery tradition, the program includes the event Salta l'amaretto (Jump the Amaretto), a series of freestyle motocross exhibitions led by Vanni Oddera, scheduled for 11:30 AM and 6:30 PM. These high-intensity performances transform the urban center into a stage for modern acrobatics.

Gastronomic experience and charitable purposes

The offer is completed with thematic menus created by local restaurants, focused on the use of Amaretto in culinary preparations. Spaces dedicated to children and recreational workshops ensure a broad enjoyment of the event, making it suitable for all age groups. Finally, it is highlighted that all proceeds from the activities will be donated entirely to the Fondazione GasliniInsieme, in support of pediatric research and care. Participation in the event, therefore, translates not only into a sensory experience but into a concrete contribution to the community.
