Malvagia: Summer Solstice in the village of Casorzo Monferrato

The return of the solstice to Casorzo

From June 19th to 21st, 2026, the municipality of Casorzo Monferrato will host Malvagia, an event dedicated to the celebration of the summer solstice. The event transforms Piazza Verdi into an evocative setting where time seems to stand still to welcome ancestral practices and historical reenactments. The geographical backdrop of the village, a quintessential expression of the wine-growing landscape of the Piedmontese Monferrato, enriches the experience, offering visitors a context of great architectural and natural value.

An immersion in history and myth

The Malvagia program unfolds through a plurality of artistic languages. The reenactments serve as a multi-epoch journey, capable of combining the rigor of historical reconstruction with the dimensions of myth and divination. Along the streets of the center, visitors can interact with artists and performers, exploring craft markets that evoke the ancient customs of the territory. The cultural proposal goes beyond mere observation, inviting the public to actively participate in thematic sessions dedicated to the legends linked to the change of season.

Food and wine offerings

The cultural experience is complemented by the area dedicated to food & wine. Here, the local oenological tradition is highlighted through a curated selection of typical products, consistent with the rural vocation of the village. Promoting the local supply chain becomes a central element, allowing attendees to pair the discovery of local folklore with the tasting of regional food and wine excellence, in a convivial context that engages with the historical beauty of the Monferrato landscape.

Logistical information

Activities will begin on the evening of Friday, June 19th, starting at 6:00 PM, and will continue until the afternoon of Sunday, June 21st. Access to the event is free and open to citizens and visitors from surrounding areas. It is recommended to check the official channels for detailed updates on the show schedule and information regarding the dining areas in Piazza Verdi.
