The event in the heart of the Alps
From September 19th to 25th, 2026, the city of Aosta becomes the setting for Pride Week, a multidisciplinary festival exploring issues of transfeminism, anti-fascism, and intersectionality. The program is articulated through nine free-entry events, designed to stimulate public debate and active participation from the citizenry.
An iconic symbol between identity and territory
The central theme of the 2026 edition, A cresta alta (Head held high), uses the figure of the Aosta Valley rooster as an emblem reinterpreted through rainbow colors. This iconographic reinterpretation aims to combine local cultural roots with universal values of pride and individual freedom, projecting tradition into the contemporary debate on civil rights.
Places of culture and gathering
The events are hosted in significant spaces within the urban fabric of Aosta. The Teatro Plus and Teatro Giacosa will host artistic performances, while the University of Valle d'Aosta and the Ida Desandré Library serve as central hubs for thematic meetings and round tables. The Bocciofila del Quartiere Cogne, a historic gathering site, completes the circuit by offering spaces for reflection and creative workshops.
The concluding parade
The week of events concludes on September 26th with the city parade. The meeting point is set for 2:30 PM at the Arch of Augustus Square, a Roman monument of extraordinary historical value that marks the solemn entrance to the historic center. The parade will cross the main city arteries, transforming the urban space into an itinerant route aimed at giving visibility to the community's demands. Participation is open to all citizens, who are invited to join in a moment of collective expression that closes the cycle of events begun in the previous days.
